Week 6: New Jobs, Box Forts, and Chasing the Dream

Happy Week 6, everyone!

Is it just me, or is there something in the air this week?

I feel like I am living life in fast-forward right now. If you’ve been following along, you know things have been a little crazy but the good kind of crazy. The kind that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning.

I am currently writing this from what I like to call "Cardboard City," but my heart is so full. Here is what is happening in the world of the Bright Belle.

✨ The New 8-to-5 Glow

I am officially in Week Two of my new job, and can I just say... wow.

You know that nervous feeling you get when you start something new? That fear of "will I fit in?" Well, that has completely evaporated. I absolutely love it. The team I’ve met so far are just incredible so welcoming and genuinely kind.

It is such a game-changer when you walk into a workspace and the vibe is just right. It doesn’t feel like "work"; it feels like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.

📦 Life in Boxes

On the home front, I am moving house!

Yes, right in the middle of starting a new job! I’m currently navigating the chaos of packing tape and bubble wrap. It’s messy, and I can’t find half my socks, but I am so excited for this fresh start. There is something symbolic about decluttering your space while you level up your career. Out with the old, in with the new!

💪 The Sweat Sessions

With the move and the new job, it would be so easy to skip the gym and curl up on the sofa. But I made a promise to myself to keep moving.

I went this morning (Tuesday) and it set the tone for the whole day. I’ve locked in sessions for tomorrow and Thursday too. It’s not just about fitness right now; it’s about sanity! That hour in the gym is the one time my brain switches off from "To-Do List" mode.

🎯 The Game Plan: Goals for the Week

I am determined to finish this week strong. I’m not just trying to survive the chaos; I want to thrive in it. Here is the vision for the rest of the week:

* 🎓 The Semester Finale: The biggest goal on my plate: I am submitting my final assignment for this semester. It’s the last hurdle before I can take a breath, and I am laser-focused on getting it done and dusted.

* 🎙️ Content Hustle: I am feeling creative! I’m going to attempt to get two more blog posts written and finally publish a couple of podcasts I’ve been editing. The mics are hot and the content is coming!

* ❤️ The Anchor: Amidst the hustle, I am setting aside non-negotiable time to spend with my family. At the end of the day, they are my "why." No matter how busy we get, slowing down to laugh with the people we love is what recharges the batteries.
